Signs of the Times Vehicle Graphics Contest!

Deadline: September 15, 2008

For years, Vehicle Graphics loomed as one of the most popular categories in our Commercial and International Sign Contests. Now, ST has chosen to give them their own place in the spotlight! While providing a handsome gallery for unique digital wraps, plotter-cut graphics, hand-rendered pinstripes and other unique auto and public-transportation applications, the December 2008 issue’s winning gallery will feature descriptions of software, media, printers, laminators and other equipment and tools used to produce the winning submissions.

To span the complete, vehicle-graphics spectrum, we’ve developed the following categories:

• Service Vehicles (used directly by the customer whose business is advertised)
• Promotional Vehicles (marketing a specific product or service)
• Transit Graphics (bus, subway, train, monorail)
• Fleet Graphics (a campaign that decorates five vehicles or more)
• Signshop Vehicles  (produced for a shop’s own use)
• Unique Vehicles (art cars, appliqués, other unconventional products)
• Handcrafted Vehicle Graphics (pinstriping, gilding, airbrush, etc.)
• Marine Graphics (watercraft graphics only)

We welcome submissions directly from OEMs, resellers and distributors provided they were completed within two years of the deadline and include complete designer, fabricator and installer information. Don’t miss this opportunity to highlight your products’ usage in the production of a victorious vehicle graphic! If you don’t sell direct, spread the word to your distributors and remind them to encourage customers to list where they purchased the product(s) as well!

Entry fee: $25 for one to three entries; $50 for four or more
